Central Laboratory provides:

• services, support, consulting and analysis for the research projects and commeriacial contracts,
• chemical analysis of varios samples: raw materials, minerals, sediments, soils, solid wastes, waste waters, aerosols, etc.,
• participates on the development of new analytical techniques and protocol.

Pre-treatment

• liberation and homogenization of samples,
• drying,
• digestion of samples in acidic or alkaline solvents,
• sintering,
• microvawe digestion.

Analyses

• volumetric analysis – titration (determination of sulphide sulfur, metalic Fe, Fe(II)),
• gravimetric analysis – determination of total sulfur, SiO2,
• elemental analysis – Ag, Au, As,Al,Ba, Bi,Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe,K, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo,Na Ni, Pb, Sb, Sn,Ti, Zn using AAS ( F/ETA) a ICP – MS,
• complete analyses of raw materials, soils matrices, sediments, solid wastes – SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, TiO2, MnO, Na2O, K2O, H2O, loss of ignition, etc.,
• analysis of aqueous solutions (waste waters, drinking waters, acid mine drainage, ground waters, surface waters, etc).

Equipment

• Atomic absorption spectrometer Varian,
• Inductively coupled plasma – mass spectrometer ICP-MS Agilent 7700,
• Microwave digestion system,
• chemistry methods and infra-red spectroscopic analysis.
